HOW TO INCREASE THE BATTERY LIFE ON YOUR iOS AND OTHER DEVICES.


THIS IS WHAT MAKES ME HAPPY.

IS YOUR BATTERY DRAINING ITS SELF TOO MUCH AND YOU WONDER WHY? WELL I DID, AND I FOUND OUT HOW TO FIX THIS PROBLEM. iOS DEVICES ARE INFAMOUSLY KNOWN TO HAVE NOT SO GREAT BATTERY LIFE. AND I MY SELF HAVE AN iPOD, iPHONE AND MACBOOK PRO AND I CAN CONFIRM THAT THE BATTERY LIFE ISN'T SO GOOD. I PURCHASED MY MACBOOK PRO ABOUT TWO MONTHS AGO (STILL BRAND NEW) AND I HAVE REALISED THAT THE BATTERY ISN'T GOOD ON IT, AND EVEN ON MY iOS DEVICES. 

THE BEST WAY TO MAINTAIN  HEALTHY BATTERY LIFE IS TO CALIBRATE YOUR BATTERY. CALIBRATING MEANS TO DRAIN THE BATTERY EVERY WEEK OR SO AND CHARGE IT COMPLETELY TO 100%. THIS WORKS AMAZINGLY WELL AND I DO IT EVERYDAY, AND I HAVE BEEN SEEING SOME IMPROVEMENTS, AND IT WORKS ON EVERYTHING (TRIED IT ON MY CAMERA.) 

ALSO IT IS MAJORLY IMPORTANT TO KEEP YOUR SOFTWARE ON YOUR iOS DEVICE AND MAC OR ANY OTHER DEIVCE UPDATED. THESE UPDATES SOMETIMES HAVE BUG AND SECURITY ISSUES FIXED AND NOT SO LONG AGO I UPDATED MY iPHONE TO iOS 6.1.2 AND THE UPDATE REPAIRED THE ISSUE WITH CALENDAR WHICH CAUSED THE BATTERY TO DRAIN EXCESSIVELY.

ANOTHER GOOD TRICK WHICH WORKS SO WELL FOR ME, IS TO TURN ON AIRPLANE MODE WHEN I GO TO BED. THIS TURNS OFF ALL NETWORK CONNECTIONS AND SAVES BATTERY. I CHARGED MY iPHONE TO 100% AND THEN WENT TO BED AND WOKE UP THE NEXT MORNING AND IT WAS ON 80%. THEN THE NEXT NIGHT I DONE THE SAME, HOWEVER I DID TURN ON AIRPLANE MODE AND THE BATTERY REMAINED 100%.

THERE IS THIS GOOD APP ON THE APP STORE FOR iOS DEVICES CALLED 'BATTERY DOCTOR'. TRUST ME THIS APP IS THE BEST THING IN CASE OF AN EMERGENCY AND YOUR iPHONE BATTERY IS RUNNING OUT. IT TELLS YOUR HOW MUCH TIME IS REMAINING TILL FULLY CHARGED AND HOW MUCH TIME IS LEFT UNTIL IT DIES. IT ALSO HAS A SECTION WHERE YOU CAN ACCELERATE THE SPEED OF YOUR DEVICE BY CLOSING BACKGROUND APPS AND INCREASING MEMORY AND DOING THIS DOES SAVE BATTERY POWER. YOU GET ALL OF THAT GOOD STUFF FOR FREE!

TIPS (SUMMARY): 
  1.  APPLE RECOMMENDS CALIBRATING YOUR BATTER EVERY MONTH OR SO, BUT I DO IT ALL THE TIME. USE YOUR DEVICE UNTIL THE BATTERY DRAINS AND COMPLETELY CHARGE IT TO 100%. THIS WORKS IN INCREASING YOUR BATTERY LIFE!
  2. ALWAYS UPDATE YOUR SOFTWARE. ON DEVICES RUNNING iOS 5 OR ABOVE IT ALLOWS YOU TO UPDATE YOUR SOFTWARE OVER WIFI. JUST TAP INTO SETTINGS THAN GO TO GENERAL AND THE SECOND OPTION IS SOFTWARE UPDATE. ITS QUICK AND EASY!
  3. WHEN NOT IN USE (i.e WHEN YOU GO TO BED) TURN ON AIRPLANE MODE AS IT STOPS NETWORK CONNECTION AND SAVES YOUR BATTERY. TRY IT ONE NIGHT AND SEE THE DIFFERENCE! 
  4. DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL 'BATTERY DOCTOR' FROM THE APP STORE. IT HAS GREAT FEATURES AND IT IS FREE!
